Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During naptime there was 19 children present, ages 15 months to 2 years old, to 1 caregiver. This was corrected at inspection when an additional caregiver entered the classroom.”
“During a DFPS investigation, this standard was found deficient. Two children exited the building for approximately 2 minutes and were found by a bystander.”
“While reviewing files trainings did not have a certificate of completion available.”
“During the unannounced inspection the caregiver present did not have access or know where records and documents were kept in the operation. This was fixed when the owners of the operation arrived before the end of the inspection.”
“A classroom was observed to be out of ratio when a group of children with a specified age group of 0-11 months old was observed to have 11 children with two caregivers. The maximum group size for two or more caregivers for this specified age group is two caregivers to 10 children. Note: There was a child that kept running to that classroom from the other classroom beside it, making the 0-11 month old classroom out of ratio. The child was taken back to their original classroom making the 0-11 month old classroom back in ratio.”
“It was found during the DFPS investigation that a caregiver was placing a child in a highchair as a form of punishment.”
