Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“There was one classroom with children under 2 years old observed to be watching a video. This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver turned the television off.”
“There was one caregiver observed to not wash their hands in between diaper changing.”
“The vehicle used to transport children was not equipped with the electronic child safety alarm.”
“The fire drill for December 2023 was not documented at the time of inspection. **This was corrected at inspection when the documentation was updated.”
“One packet of breastmilk was stored without the properly labeling of the child's first name and last initial. ** This was corrected at inspection when the packet was properly labeled.”
“Of the 9 infants present only 3 had current feeding instructions available. There were 6 instructions that were last updated in November of 2023.”
“There was dust build up on the ceiling vents of several classrooms.”
“The operation did not have snack menus posted and available for CCR review.”
“Based on information obtained through an investigation, there was sufficient evidence to find a child was neglected while in care.”
“While doing an unannounced inspection a person was present at the operation without an active background. This was corrected at the inspection when the person left the operation.”
“During an unannounced inspection it was found the operation did not report a risk to licensing in a timely manner.”
“While reviewing video footage it was seen that a caregiver was not supervising children in care during naptime according to the minimum standards.”
“Based on evidence gathered, it was found that a caregiver used unusual treatment towards children.”
“The operation is past due for the annual fire inspection, as the last fire inspection was conducted on 1/19/2021.”
