Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The fence surrounding the outdoor area is missing a wooden slat. There is also a broken slat.”
“The operation did not have a written evacuation and reloation plan.”
“There were safety hazards observed in the backyard of the operation that needed to be removed: Broken toys, car parts, and debris. During the inspection cleaning supplies were observed accessible to children in a restroom used by children. This was corrected at inspection when caregiver placed the items out of reach.”
“A wading pool was observed in the backyard that was not drained and sanitized after use.”
“The Air Conditioner Unit located in the operations back yard was accessible to children.”
“There were no fire drills recently conducted.”
“The carbon monoxide detector was not been tested monthly.”
“Two out of three childrens files reviewed did not have an updated immunization record.”
“The operation did not have a working carbon monoxide detector on second floor of home. Batteries needed to be installed in detector.”
“The primary caregiver did not have the required training in Emergency Preparedness.”
“There were no shelter drills recently conducted.”
“There were no lock down drills recently conducted.”
“The primary caregiver did not have a personnel record available for review.”
“The operation did not have documentation of the date of the test and the date of installation of new batteries.”
“Operation has not been inspecting the indoor and outdoor active play space and equipment daily before children go out to play to ensure there are no hazards present.”
