Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“This standard was reviewed as part of an investigation and found non-compliant. It was discovered that the school age classroom of 6-12 years old were allowed to watch a PG-13 movie.”
“An individual was present at inspection with direct access to children and did not have a complete background check. This was corrected at inspection as the individual was sent home.”
“The operation did not have documentation of their most recent health inspection on file for review by Child Care Regulation.”
“The operation did not have documentation of the most recent fire inspection on file for review by Child Care Regulation.”
“This standard was reviewed as part of an investigation and found deficient. It was determined that a caregiver hit/popped a child as a method of discipline.”
“This standard was reviewed as part of an investigation and found deficient. The incident report was not signed by the parent to indicate that the parent has reviewed it or received a copy of the report.”
“It was observed that the 12-17 month infant classroom had 8 children with one caregiver. This was corrected at inspection when an additional caregiver was placed in the classroom.”
“It was observed in the Pre-K classroom there was a hole in the wall that was about 2 inches wide. This was corrected at inspection by the teacher who placed a poster over the hole until it could be fixed with plaster.”
