Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The backdoor leading to the pool did not have a lock that was out of reach of the children.”
“During the monitoring inspection, an 11 month old infant was observed sleeping in a car seat. This was corrected when the primary caregiver removed the infant and placed them in their crib.”
“The emergency telephone numbers were not posted in the operation.”
“The operational policies were missing promotion of active play and the emergency preparedness plan.”
“The smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were not documented for the year. This was corrected when the primary caregivers checked both detectors and documented them for the month.”
“After reviewing 4 child files, 4 children were missing the statement of health from a health-care professional.”
“The operational policies had not been updated in accordance with the newer minimum standards. Parent's rights, the promotion of outdoor activities, procedures to contact the local child abuse hot line and licensing office, were items that were missing.”
“The primary caregiver did not have current CPR.”
“There are hazards in the backyard area to include cut tree branches, and the fence in the back yard is missing the side door.”
“The operation does not have operational policies.”
“During the inspection it was found that there have not been any fire drills conducted. This was corrected at the inspection when there was a fire drill conducted.”
“The first aid kit was observed to be missing scissors and tweezers.”
“During the monitoring inspection it was found that the children did not have a complete file for admissions.”
