Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“It was determined a caregiver did not show self control in the presence of children when the caregiver got into an altercation with a guardian and said a curse word repeatedly, while children were present.”
“It was determined based on preponderance of evidence a caregiver inappropriately bared weight down on a child's hand as form of punishment.”
“It was determined based on the preponderance of evidence a caregiver abused a child in care by aggressively handling a child in care while taking the child to their cot.”
“It was determined based on evidence obtained throughout the investigation, a caregiver inappropriately disciplined a child in care by yanking a child's arm, dragging the child and pulling the child down onto their cot.”
“It was determined the operation did not contact the parent immediately of a child that received an injury while in care. The parent was notified at the end of the day and the child was taken to a health care professional the next day to be evaluated.”
“The 2 year old classroom was observed to have been served half an apple that were not cut into smaller pieces to reduce the risk of choking. This was corrected at inspection by informing the caregivers and Director to cut the pieces smaller for the younger toddlers. The apples were cut in pieces that did not present a choking hazard.”
“The operation did not have a food allergy plan for a child in care with a diagnosed food allergy.”
