Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The loose-fill when measured during inspection was at one inch at the exit of the slide. This was corrected at inspection when additional loose-fill was raked and moved to the exit of the slide, when remeasured it was at six inches.”
“In a classroom, one of the side walls had paint that was visibly peeling and had chipped pieces of the paint in an area accessible to children.”
“In one classroom, a caregiver did not wash their hands after changing one child's diaper. The caregiver changed gloves and did not wash their hands before changing the second child's diaper. This was discussed with the caregiver and the caregiver corrected it at inspection by washing her hands before changing gloves and diapering the next child.”
