Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The primary caregiver did not have current pediatric first-aid and CPR training at the time of the inspection.”
“Two out of four children's records reviewed were misssing the emegency contact information. The Primary Caregvier corrected this at the time of the inspecction by getting the emergency contact information.”
“The emergency practice form was missing the time the fire drill started.”
“One child's file was missing the health statement/acknowledgement of recent doctor's appointment.”
“The operational policies are missing a section on the promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity. There also needs to be a section about procedures for parents to visit the childcare home and instructions on how parents can contact the local licensing office, access the Texas abuse and neglect hot line, and access the HHSC website. Note: This was corrected during the inspection when the operational policies were updated to include this information.”
“There was not documentation to show that a household member had completed orientation to the child care home.”
“The emergency plan needed information on the protocols for lockdown and sheltering drills inside the home as well as a bit more information on communication and essential documentation in the case of an evcauation or a relocation. Note: This was corrected during the inspection when the emergency preparedness plan was updated to include this information.”
