Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The television was on at arrival. There was a 7 month old infant in care who was sitting in an activity bouncer.”
“The children were laying on their cots, with the lights off, and the television on.”
“Based on the preponderance of evidence, there is sufficient evidence of deficiency with menus being available. The provider did not have menus available to a parent when requested and had not provided a menu to the parents. The provider had not been planning out meals ahead of time. The provider did not have menus available for review for the previous 3 months.”
“The admission forms used were outdated. The admission forms do not capture the required minimum standards changes of March 2023.”
“There were 3 children's records which lacked the health care statement from a health care professional.”
“There was no documentation verifying the assistant caregiver attended training during orientation.”
“The 2 play yards had a supplemental mattress in them. There was no documentation that indicated it was designed by the manufacturer specifically for the play yard model numbers. The mattress were removed during the inspection.”
“The applicant lacks 15 clock hours in child development and 50 clock hours in management.”
“The operational policies did not have a written policy for physical activity.”
