Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“One child, three years of age was left unattended in the hallway of the childcare center. Based on the information obtained the child was transitioning from the breakfast room to the pathway preschooler's classroom when the child was left behind during a transition period. The child was located in the hallway by another parent who has a child enrolled at the childcare center. Based on the information obtained, a name to face check was not conducted to ensure all children were accounted for.”
“An incident report was not documented related to a child being left unattended/unsupervised. The parent did not receive an incident report related to her child being left unattended.”
“An incident occurred on 2/21/2023, involving a 3-year-old child left unsupervised in the hallway of the childcare center. The child was found by a parent who notified the caregiver that the child was alone in the hallway. The incident was not reported to Licensing.”
“The background check list was last validated February 17, 2022. The owner validated the background check list while Licensing was present.”
“An infant classroom with a specified age group of 12-17 months of age had 14 children with three caregivers which put the classroom over the maximum group size by one child. Note- This was addressed during the inspection when one child was moved to a different classroom to maintain the maximum group size.”
“Eight infant training cups were not properly labeled with the infant's first name and last initial. Note- This was corrected during the inspection when the training cups were properly labeled.”
