Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Provider has not completed training in the following topics for the 9/2/22 - 9/1/23 training year: Emergency preparedness, Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, Administering medication, Preventing and responding to emergencies due to food or an allergic reaction, Understanding building and physical premises safety, & Handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials.”
“The provider was over ratio by one child for the age group that was present. Of the 8 children in care - one was 12 months old & seven were between 18 months & 3yrs old. This age grouping allows for a maximum of 7 children.”
“There was no health statement documentation available for the providers 2 dogs.”
“Several trees in the backyard play area have branches that are at eye level for children & present a hazard.”
“Two pets in the home lacked documentation of current vaccinations.”
“The fire extinguisher in the home did not meet the 3A-40BC requirement.”
“There were no smoke detectors in the living, dining, & play roooms - all of which will be used by children.”
“There was no labeled storage available for the children's personal belongings.”
