Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“There was no documentation on file verifying a fire drill had been conducted since December 2024 There was no documentation available to show the fire extinguisher , smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector had been tested monthly as required.”
“Upon review of the CLASS database, it was observed that the operation has not paid its annual fees($35) that were due in July 11, 2023 and $6.00 background chek fees.”
“Provider is lacking 30 hours of annual training.”
“There was no documentation of fire safety emergency drills, fire extinguisher checks, smoke detector checks, and carbon monoxide detector testing made available for review during the inspection.”
“It was noticed that the fire extinguisher was not mounted on the wall. It was placed on the floor in the kitchen area.”
“It was noticed that the written operation policies were not available for viewing at the inspection. Note : This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver completed the child care home policy for her home at the inspection.”
“The air conditioning unit in the backyard is accessible to children with no fencing or barrier.”
