Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“It was determined the operations director was not present at least 75% of the time during the week of 12/9/24 to 12/13/24.”
“It was observed that 48 children in care were not being adequately supervised by two caregivers. Children were observed hiding out of sight, running in unsupervised hallways, plugging in cell phone chargers, using personal cell phones without content supervision and crawling into an unsupervised kitchen area. Caregivers were asked to regain control before licensing left the operation.”
“It was observed that children in the care of 2 caregivers were out of control. Children were observed running with stick candy in their mouths, climbing on tables, throwing liquid soap and various other objects at each other, pushing and hitting one another, playing in water fountains, and jumping from the cafeteria stage without proper redirection.”
“The operation was observed to have 48 children ages 4-10 years old in one group for over 30 minutes exceeding the maximum group size allowed. The children were seperated into two groups during the inspection.”
“There was one child file indicating a food allergy and there was no emergency allergy plan to review. The director indicated that there were more children enrolled with peanut allergies but there was no documentation available for review.”
“There was no emergency relocation/ evacuation information available for review at the operation.”
