Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the investigation interviews conducted with caregivers and children, there was enough evidence to determine that screen time is being used during prohibited times such as mealtimes and rest times.”
“Cleaning supplies were stored under the sink in the kitchen where children could have accessed the area. Also a can of lysol was out in the toddler room in reach of children. This was corrected at inspection when the cleaning supplies were moved to a secure location and the lysol was moved out of reach of children.”
“A child in care with a diagnosed food allergy had a food allergy plan that was not signed by a health care professional.”
“An opening in the bottom perimeter of the playground fence was observed to be an entanglement or strangulation hazard to children in care. Children's bedding was observed to be stored stacked on top of one another creating a cross contamination situation. This was corrected at inspection when all bedding was placed in sperate plastic bags preventing the spread of germs.”
“A 3 year old child was observed in a high chair, unbuckled and who exceeded the weight limit according to manufactuer instructions. This was corrected at inspection when the child was removed from the highchair.”
“Upon arrival at naptime, I was unable to see the children napping in the main room because it was too dark. This was corrected when additional lighting was turned on during the inspection.”
