Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“There are red ants in the outdoor play area.”
“A child was watching a video on a tablet device which was not part of the activity plan. Note: This was addressed with the caregivers who turned off and removed the electronic device from the child.”
“A child did not wash their hands before their snack. Note: Caregiver washed the child s hands upon being informed to do so.”
“Lock down drills and sheltering drills for severe weather have not been conducted.”
“Fire extinguisher was not mounted. It was under the kitchen's sink.”
“Emergency preparedness plan did not include the following information: -Specific procedures for evacuating or relocating children who are under 24 months of age, who have limited mobility, or who otherwise may need assistance in an emergency.”
“The following information was not available in the operational policies: -The duration of physical activity. -A plan to ensure physical activity occurs on days when extreme weather conditions prohibit or limit outdoor time.”
