Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the walkthrough, dust was observed on the fan and AC vents, and the ceiling had a brown spot. Repair is needed.”
“Sufficient evidence was found during the DFPS investigation that a person whose behavior endangers the safety of children and staff was present at the operation.”
“During a DFPS investigation, it was found that a caregiver placed children ages 2-3 years old in highchairs for no longer than ten minutes to help calm them.”
“There was sufficient evidence found during the investigation to show that prohibited punishment was used when staff members yelled at children.”
“There was sufficient evidence found during the investigation to show that a person whose behavior threatens the safety of children and staff was present at the operation.”
“There was sufficient evidence found during the investigation found to show that a person without a background check was on the premises with access to children.”
“A caregiver was observed not washing the hands after diapering”
“Nap mats were observed and did not have sufficient walking space in between some of them.”
“The trash cans did not have lids. A wall outlet was broken in one of the classrooms. These were corrected during the inspection.”
“During the investigation, it was found that the center did not follow the conditions in their license. In addition, the person was at the center without a clear background, which is required.”
“Three caregivers stated that there were 12 children in their classroom at nap time. After counting the children multiple times, there were found to be 11 children present in the classroom.”
