Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Upon arriving in the young infant classroom during naptime, there was 10 infant present but only 9 cribs available. The deficiency was corrected during the inspection when a mobile infant was placed on a mat to nap. An 10th crib was also brought into the classroom to accommodate each non-mobile child. The max ratio is 10 to 2.”
“This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and determined to be deficient. A child with a diagnosed food allergy did not have a completed allergy plan in their file.”
“This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and determined to be deficient. The director removed a child off of the food allergy list which resulted in a caregiver providing the child an allergen.”
“Two children did not have current immunization records on file.”
“The evaluation diagram was not posted in the classrooms that were utilized by children. Having the emergency diagram visible allows substitute caregivers, volunteers, and visitors have view of how to evaluate the children to a safe location during an emergency. The caregivers posted the emergency evaluation and relocation diagrams during the inspection.”
