Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Fire extinguisher was missing from the van used to transport children at the time of inspection.”
“Evidence gathered during this investigation shows that the operation is in violation of this standard. Evidence gathered during this investigation shows 4 children under the age of 5 were playing in an outside open area that is unfenced.”
“3 infant feeding instructions reviewed have not been updated since June 2024.”
“A caregiver in the infant room was supervising 6 infants alone with the ages of 0-9 months. This was corrected at inspection when the 2 infants were moved to another room bringing the operation into compliance.”
“Upon entry of the inspection the director was not present. When 2 caregivers were asked who was in charge in the director's absence, one was unaware who was in charge, the other caregiver gave the name of another caregiver that was not currently present at the center.”
“A caregiver under the age of 18, who is not currently enrolled in or has completed a child care related career program, was counted in ratio in a classroom with 15 children where the specified age group was 2 yrs old.”
