Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A caregiver grabbed an awaken child's arm while the child was laying on a sleeping cot.”
“At the time of inspection, a water hose was observed on the toddler playground which was accessible to children. This was corrected at inspection by staff removing the hose and storing it in area inaccessible to children.”
“At the time of inspection the operational policies did not include informaiton ro policies regarding water activities.”
“At the time of inspection both outdoor areas were observed to have trash/debris on the ground. Both playgrounds had large holes and low hanging branches. The toddler playground was observed to have vines with thorns, exposed screws protruding from the fence, a broken panel in the wood fencing, and a chicken wire barrier with sharp edges that was not secured. There was also concern that several areas of a brick wall on the toddler playground were in poor condition with several loose bricks and degraded mortar. Play equipment (spring car) on the preschool playground had a base that was exposed.”
“At the time of inspeciton the operational policies did not include procedures for parents to access the minimum standards online. The policies did not include the Texas Abuse/Neglect hotline number or the HHSC website.”
“At the time of inspection the operational policies did not include information regarding the prevention of abuse/neglect of children.”
“At the time of inspection the operational policies did not include the duration of indoor/outdoor physical activity.”
