Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“10 out of 10 staff files missing annual topic titled, "Understanding building and physical premises safety, including identification and protection from hazards that can cause bodily injury such as electrical hazards, bodies of water, and vehicular traffic". Note: this was corrected at inspection when the director created training certificates for staff trained on 8/12/24.”
“The director presents multiple training topics on one certificate and needs to include how much time is spent in each topic.”
“The emergency preparedness plan is missing information for evacuating infants.”
“A child in care had medication for known allergy symptoms stored at the operation that expired on May 19, 2022. This was corrected at inspection when medication wass discarded.”
“There was a bottle of disinfectant spray and a can of Lysol disinfectant spray on the shelf near the entrance of the extended stay room accessible by the children in care. This was corrected when a staff member placed the chemicals on a higher shelf out of reach of children.”
