Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Supervision was not in compliance when caregivers left a child behind/unattended when a fire drill was conducted.”
“Fire drills were not completed for October and November.”
“6 of 10 files did not have documentation showing that the caregiver meets the minimum education requirement.”
“The liability insurance verification was not completed as required by 8/22/24. Note: This was corrected at the inspection when the online verification was completed in the portal.”
“Supervision was not in compliance when a child was left in a classroom unsupervised sleeping while the rest of the classroom transitioned to another room.”
“The operational policies do not include a promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity section as required.”
“I observed several expired medications in the stored medication. Note: This was corrected during the inspection when they were removed to return to the parents at pickup.”
“The director had not completed the annual ltransportation safety training. Note: This was corrected during the inspection when the training was completed.”
“In one of the toddler classrooms I observed a child napping on a mat that blocked an entrance/exit. Note: This was corrected during the inspection when the mat was moved.”
“The use zone around a piece of play equipment that required one was not compliant when a child was injured. Note: This was corrected immediately after the incident occurred when the piece of equipment, and the other two like it, were removed from the classroom.”
“There was no surfacing in the use zone under play equipment in the classroom that required it. Note: This was corrected after the incident when the equipment was moved out of the classroom.”
