Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A caregiver was unaware of the number of children she was responsible for. This was corrected at inspection later when the caregiver counted the number of children in the classroom.”
“The operation failed to remove a bike seat from the area, which resulted in a child requiring medical attention.”
“The wooden walkway around the pre-k/school age playground was observed to be uneven and can cause a tripping hazard.”
“This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and found to be deficient. Parents were not notified of a situation that placed a child at risk.”
“This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and found to be deficient. A child was left unsupervised for approximately six minutes.”
“Disinfectant spray was accessible to children in the three year old classroom.”
“An infant was wearing a bracelet that could cause a possible choking hazard.”
“This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and found to be deficient. Caregivers' miscommunication of which children they were responsible for lead to a child being left on the playground unsupervised for approximately eight minutes.”
“The Director was unaware of the gas furnace and hot water heater in the operation. A gas inspection is required.”
“The Annual Fire Inspection Expired 01/28/23.”
“The operation allowed a person to be present at the operation after the CBCU had notified the operation that the person is ineligible to be present. The subject left the premises during the inspection.”
“This standard was evaluated as part of an investigation and found to be deficient. A caregiver inappropriately grabbed a child by the arm and blocked the child under the desk for approximately twenty minutes.”
