Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The director lacked 5.5 hours of training to complete last years annual training. This was corrected at inspection as moved 5.5 hours of training from the current training year to complete last years annual training.”
“A caregivers record lacked 1 hour of training to complete last year's annual training.”
“During the inspection a caregiver who had an inactive background check was present and caring for children. This was corrected during the inspection when the caregiver was sent home.”
“A sampling of children's records were evaluated. One child's record lacked the address of their designated contact. One child's record lacked documentation of a hearing and vision screening. Provided a list of the children and their missing information to the director.”
“The operational policies were evaluated and lacked the following written information: 1) enrollment procedures; 2) information regarding the promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity; 3) information regarding how parents may review the Minimum Standards online; and 4) procedures for conducting health checks.”
“The CPR training completed by one caregiver was completed online and did not include hands on skill-based instruction or consist of a curriculum that includes use of a CPR manikin.”
