Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The operation has an Epi pen on file that was not in the original container labeled with the child s full name and the date brought to the operation.”
“The operation did not have a food allergy plan on file for a child who has a diagnosed food allergy.”
“The operation has not documented the time, date, and length of drill for the fire drills for the months of September 2022 through February 2023. The operation has not documented the date of the fire drills for the months of September 2022 through February 2023.”
“During inspection a caregiver whose presence at the operation is on a provisional basis and must never be left in charge of a group of children has been left alone with children when the second staff left the area for several minutes. It was also determined this has been done on multiple occasions.”
“A sampling of children records were evaluated. Two children's records lacked the complete address (city and state) of their designated contact. Eight children's records lacked authorization to obtain emergency medical care and to transport the child for emergency medical treatment. Eight children lacked documentation that their parents received and reviewed a copy of the operations, operational policies.”
“One caregiver did not have a background check”
