Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that an employee who was present during the alleged incident of the investigation does not have a background check in the system.”
“During nap time in the infant and toddler classroom I observed children sleeping in front of the exit doors. This was corrected during the inspection when the caregivers moved the children to another area in the classroom.”
“There were multiple nail bolts sticking out of the black barrier on the playground structure and there were rusted nails observed sticking out of a play equipment that is anchored to the ground. This was corrected during the inspection when the director hammered the nails back into place”
“During rest time, school age children were observed sleeping with there head down on a table instead of having a cot or mat to rest on.”
“During nap time the children's cot were touching and there was not enough space for staff members to safely walk through.”
“A child was observed walking out of the school age building by themselves and told me it was time for them to go home. The child then walked to the toddler classroom to get there sibling and both children were observed walking by themselves towards the front entrance of the building. Once they approached the front of the building they were taking inside by a staff member.”
“One changing mat had a tear exposing the filling. This was corrected at inspection when the mat was replaced.”
“The restroom in the schoolers classroom did not have soap or paper towels available. This was corrected at inspection.”
“One of the Pre-K restrooms had a can of disinfectant under the sink and was accessible to children. This was corrected at inspection when the chemicals were removed.”
“One infant caregiver does not have current annual training in the following: Recognizing and preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma Understanding and using safe sleep practices and preventing sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) Understanding early childhood brain development”
