Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The child care home was observed to be without an installed carbon monoxide detector.”
“Two children's files were missing current immunization records.”
“A child's file is missing a health statement.”
“A sampling of children records were evaluated. One child's record lacked their date of admission. Two children's records lacked a designated contact. Two children's records lacked release of information. Two children's records lacked a health statement. Two children's records lacked documentation of a vision and hearing screening.”
“The director lacked proof of completion of training in the following training topics to complete last year's annual training: (1) Emergency preparedness; (2) Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, including immunizations; (3) Administering medication; (4) Preventing and responding to emergencies due to food or an allergic reaction; (5) Understanding building and physical premises safety; and (6) Handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials.”
