Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the inspection the five transportation binders did not have the emergency telephone numbers for each child being transported.”
“It was determined the operation failed to use proper judgment when the school age child was dropped off at the wrong school. The driver did not contact the emergency numbers or the director to obtain information as where to take the child to school.”
“One child was missing information of name, address, and telephone number of the child s physician or an emergency-care facility.”
“One child was missing the information of name, address, and telephone number of another responsible individual (friend or relative) who should be contacted in an emergency when the parent cannot be reached.”
“One caregiver had 19 children in care; children ages were from 3 years to 4 years. The class was over ratio by one. This was corrected at inspection once the other teachers arrived and taken to their designated classroom. The classroom was over ratio for 5 minutes.”
“A parent overheard a caregiver yelling at a child in care. The caregiver demonstrated poor judgement and failed to diffuse and redirect the situation using positive guidance.”
