Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The infants were observed sitting in a feeding table without straps installed.”
“A child was left alone in a classroom for an undetermined amount of time.”
“A child was left in the classroom alone for about 2 minutes and a report was not made to licensing.”
“A child was left in the classroom alone and parents were not notified of the incident.”
“A child was left in a room alone and an incident report was not completed.”
“Licensing observed caregiver yank a child by their arm off of a table.”
“The 0 to 11 month infants classroom had 5 children with 1 caregiver exceeding the caregiver to child ratio by 1 infant.”
“All infant bottles were not labeled during inspection. Caregivers labeled all bottles during inspection.”
“All infants in the infant room did not have current feeding instructions on file.”
“Loose fill on the school age playground was not at sufficient depth.”
“A caregiver in the 3 year old classroom was witnessed on her cell phone.”
“A caregiver was pushing a child in a car and did not stop when the child asked and the child scrapped his hand trying to stop the car.”
“This standard was evaluated in regards to a report and found deficient. A caregiver used inappropriate language when speaking to a child.”
“This standard was evaluated in regards to a report and found deficient. The operation contacted law Enforcement when concerned a child was being neglected. The operation failed to report the incident to CPS.”
