Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During a walk-through of the playground there was a pile of wood with pointed edge pose as a risk to the children in care”
“There was no documentation of fire safety emergency drills, fire extinguisher checks, smoke detector checks, and carbon monoxide detector testing made available for review during the inspection.”
“The fire extinguisher needed to be services; the needle of the fire extinguisher was in the red zone. Picture was taken.”
“Two children in care did not have immunization record available for review.”
“The operational policy did not include the information of indoor and outdoor physical activity.”
“The inspector observed that when the caregiver pushed the test button on the carbon monoxide detector, the buzzer didn't sound. It was noticed that the Carbon Monoxide Detector was out of battery. Note: The caregiver replaced the new batteries in the carbon detector and tested at the inspection.”
