Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The most recent inspection letter wasn't posted. This was corrected during the inspection when the most recent letter was posted.”
“Out of four children's records reviewed, one child did not have a health statement.”
“During the inspection, the substitute caregiver was alone in the home with 12 children, including one infant. This was corrected during the inspection when the primary caregiver returned, putting the home back into ratio.”
“Children under two years old were watching television. This was corrected during the inspection when the TV was turned off and music was played instead.”
“There was an outlet that did not have a cover. This was corrected during the inspection when an outlet cover was placed in the outlet.”
“There was a TV program playing in the room where infants were. This was corrected during the inspection when the TV was turned off.”
“There was a bottle of cleaning solution in the bathroom where the children could access it. This was corrected during the inspection when the bottle was moved out of the reach of children.”
“There was an infant on formula whose feeding instructions where last updated in January.”
“There were no infant feeding instructions for an infant who was still on formula.”
“Out of the three personnel files that were reviewed, one did not contain a copy of photo ID or proof of a background check request.”
“Operational policies were evalauted and found to be missing a policy on the promtion of outdoor.”
“There were 15 children in care between the ages of 7 months old to 3 years old.”
“A caregiver who routinely works for the operation 5 days a week and counted in ratio did not have the required fingerprint check when their background checks were renewed. The caregiver was not present during the inspection but has been employed since 2016 and had a previous fingerprint check.”
“There was no sign in and out sheet documenting the children present during the inspection. The caregiver filled out a sign in and out sheet before the conclusion of the inspection.”
