Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A child rejoined the rest of the class without having their hands washed after diapering. This was corrected at inspection when it was addressed with the caregiver and the child's hands were washed.”
“The most recent fire inspection was unavailable for review.”
“The loose-fill near a large structure with slides was not maintained at the proper depth. The ground could be seen especially at the exit of the slides.”
“A caregiver was observed stepping out of their classroom to assist a child in the restroom across the hallway which left the rest of the children present without supervision.”
“The diaper changing pad in the infant room is made of absorbant material that is not easily cleaned.”
“1 out of 4 child records reviewed were lacking a complete health statement.”
“3 bottles and 1 cup observed were lacking a label with the infants name. This was corrected at inspection when labels were added to the bottles and cup.”
“4 out of 4 infants not yet ready for table food were lacking written feeding instructions.”
“All fire extinguishers in the operation lacked current servicing.”
“One out of one infant lacked current feeding instructions for the past month. CI: This was corrected at inspection when the parent/staff updated the feeding instructions.”
“The required Consumer Product Safety Commission form has not been completed within the last year. CI: This was corrected at inspection when the form was completed.”
“Two caregivers was in direct care of children in the infant classroom and in the toddler classroom without the required fingerprint check. CI: This was corrected at inspection when the two staff's background check was ran and the two staff left the operation.”
