How to read violations

Nearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.

CCR 101223(a)(2) — To be accorded safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs.

“Based on LPA's interviews conducted and per staff’s own admission the day in question she was busy and she open the Sippy cup to pour water but she did not pay close attention and disregard that it has spoiled milk in the cup from early morning. Staff was aware of the issue until it was brought to her attention by the director after the incident occurred. Facility failed to protect the safety of the children. This is an immediate health and safety risk for the children in care.”
