Inspection history
Source: Delaware Office of Child Care LicensingRecords held from Sep 27, 2021 onward. Earlier visits may exist in the agency’s own files.
Delaware publishes only visits where a regulation was cited, plus complaint investigations. Visits that found no violations do not appear in the state's data, so a gap between dates here does not mean the program went uninspected. Delaware does not publish a severity weight for its citations.

Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Delaware Office of Child Care LicensingNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Staff #2 needs 7 hours of training.”
“Ensure licensee has general liability insurance on files. Send a copy to OCCL.”
“Ensure staff files are complete. Complete PD plans needed for Staff #1-8. Signed orientation needed for Staff #1. 4 references needed for Staff #3 or 1 service letter and 2 references. 3 references needed for Staff #8. Staff #1 needs drug/alcohol statement signed. Staff #1, 3, and 7 need a current health appraisal with TB test.”
“Ensure radon testing is done every 5 years. Send report to OCCL.”
“Ensure freezer thermometer reads 0 degrees. Send a picture.”
“Ensure fall zones have adequate mulch. Send a picture.”
“On November 6, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding lack of supervision, disrespectful communication, and not following center termination of care policy. An investigation was begun on November 8, 2024, and concluded on November 25, 2024. This complaint is substantiated for lack of supervision based on staff interviews. Staff #1 stated they left their classroom alone for a few seconds to answer the front door. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for disrespectful communication because based on staff interviews, staff denied being disrespectful to Parent #1. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for not following center termination of care policy because based on staff interviews, the center did not terminate Child #1 s care. An additional concern noted was Administrator #1 was signed into a classroom when, according to staff interviews, they were in the kitchen at the same time.”
“Ensure the center has liability insurance documentation. Send a copy to OCCL.”
“Ensure aides and interns are never left alone with infants. Two staff without DEEDS qualifications were alone with 7 inants. This was corrected at the visit when an Early Childhood Teacher went into the classroom and one of the aides went into another classroom with another ECT.”
“Ensure staff files are complete. Staff #1 needs the 7-hour OCCL Health and Safety Training. Staff #2 needs a signed job description, health appraisal with TB test, and a Release of Employment. Staff #3 needs a signed job description. Send copies to OCCL.”
“On March 20, 2023, a complaint was called into the Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line and not accepted for investigation by the Institutional Abuse Unit (IAU). The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received the complaint on March 23, 2023, and accepted it for investigation regarding failure to report possible child abuse or neglect. An investigation began on March 28, 2023, and ended on April 19, 2023. The complaint is substantiated for failure to report suspected child abuse or neglect because the administrator and owner reported several instances when they observed bruises and cuts sustained by a child when the child was not in care at the center but did not call the Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line.”
“Send a copy of the updated liability insurance to OCCL.”
“The gathering classroom has been exceeding maximum group sizes and not all staff are signed in properly. Send two weeks' worth of attendance records from the gathering (Master) classroom.”
