Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Six out ten training records observed did not include training related to emergency preparedness, abuse and neglect, food allergies, abusive head trauma, communicable diseases, handling, storing and disposing of hazardous materials.”
“One child's food allergy plan observed did not include a physician signature. The child's medication was present in care.”
“One caregiver with a pending background check was observed in the Toddler classroom.”
“Three caregivers who care for children under 24 months did not have the required training available for review.”
“There were two stationary play structures that were not maintaining the required six feet of use zones. Note- This was corrected during the inspection when the structures were moved to maintain the use zones.”
“The toddler classroom had reduced ratio during naptime with one 15-month-old infant present in the classroom. There was one caregiver with 11 children who had a specified age group of 18-23 months of age. Note- This was corrected during the inspection when a second caregiver was brought into the classroom to maintain child/caregiver ratios.”
“Eight out of ten caregivers did not have documentation showing that orientation was completed.”
“The operational policies did not contain the emergency preparedness plan.”
