Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The operation does not have a written activity plan.”
“The operational policies did not contain all the required topics.”
“The fire extinguisher located in the home was expired.”
“During the inspection, the fence in the back yard was observed to be missing planks.”
“1 of the 2 records reviewed was missing a health statement.”
“The primary care provider did not have 30 annual hours of training.”
“During the monitoring inspection it was found that safety drills were not being regularly practiced. A fire drill was practiced successfully while I was present.”
“During the monitoring inspection it was observed that the most recent inspection was not posted.”
“During the monitoring inspection I was only able to review 8.5 annual training hours with a requirement of 30.”
“While reviewing a child file it was found that the child did not have the name, address, and telephone number of the child's physician or emergency-care facility.”
