Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the inspection, two children's records did not have infant feeding instructions signed and dated by the parent.”
“During a walk through of the play ground, a pool and fire pit were both observed with a body of standing water. This was corrected during the inspection when the provider dumped the water from the fire pit and the pool thrown away.”
“During a walk through of the playground, I observed a portion of the back gate that has damaged and no longer attached. There were boards with nails lying on the ground and accessible to the children. The back porch had electrical cords and lawn equipment out and accessible to the children. A safety plan was developed with the provider stating how the operation would be able to promote outdoors play while keeping the children safe outside. I also observed repairs to the gate being done.”
“During the walk through of the home, an electrical outlet did not have a protective cover. This was corrected at the inspection when the provider covered the outlet with a wall cover.”
