Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“At the time of the inspection a wire hung low and loose, coming out of the building. A water hose was piled near a shed at on the playground area. A water drip line ran under the fence from the front of the building to the playground area and was loosely piled on the ground. During the visit the staff cut the line from the building and removed it. The water hose was gathered and placed inside the shed. The loose drip line was removed, cut up, and thrown away by staff.”
“One caregiver was missing the annual training requirement in caring for children under 24 months.”
“One child's file did not have verification of current shot records.”
“This rule was evaluated with regard to an investigation and has been found to be in violation. A caregiver was pinching children's knuckles as a form of punishment.”
“Based on a DFPS investigation, a caregiver was found to be neglectful in the supervision of a child in care.”
“Based on a DFPS investigation a caregiver was not maintaining adequate supervision on the playground.”
