Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“The bottom portion of the fence in the yard has a gap between the ground and fence. The jagged edge of the wood is exposed.”
“A child sustained a burn injury after touching a heat lamp, located in the goat pen.”
“During a DFPS investigation, there was sufficient evidence to support that a caregiver neglected a child in care.”
“A caregiver waited over 30 minutes to call poison control after an infant ingested two pills.”
“The operation did not report when an infant ingested two pills.”
“Caregivers were not adequately supervising when an infant was allowed to play with a Ziploc bag.”
“A caregiver's purse was sitting in a cubby with the strap accessible to infants. An infant was able to pull on the strap causing the purse to fall. The infant dug through the purse, opened a Ziploc bag, and ingested two pills.”
“A caregiver had access to children with without an active background check.”
“The operation did not report a child injury that required medical treatment by a Health-Care professional.”
“Caregivers did not take into account hazards and maintain adequate supervision which allowed a child in care to be attacked by a rooster.”
“Caregivers allowed children access to an area with a body of water.”
“Children in care were allowed contact with chickens and ducks at the operation.”
