Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Two children's diapers were changed and their caregiver did not wash their hands after.”
“A caregiver was missing 7 hours of annual training for past year. This was corrected at inspection as caregiver already has 14 hours of training for current year.”
“There was a medium sized pail filled with water which was accessible to children outside. This was corrected at inspection when the water in the pail was dumped out and removed. A photo was taken.”
“There were a couple of sealed plastic bags with diapers in them on the pavement outside which were accessible to children. This was corrected at inspection when the bags were thrown away in a sealed garbage container. A photo was taken.”
“There was not adequate space between mats in the pre-k classroom without having to walk on or over mats of other children. A photo were taken.”
“Children's napping mats in the pre-k classroom were labeled by number but there was not an number/child assignment map available for review.”
“Water was not served to children in the pre-k classroom during lunch.”
“The emergency preparedness plan did not include all of the required information.”
“A child did not have a health statement on file for review.”
“16 employees present at the day care did not have cleared background checks under new operation.”
“The operation did not have a current fire inspection on file.”
“School-age children were observed watching a cartoon movie that was non-educational.”
