Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“A child's record did not have the required health statement and parent signatures. The two records did not have the parent's rights notice to care.”
“Two toys had exposed areas that could pinch or cause injury to the fingers. This was corrected during the inspection when the toys were removed from the play area.”
“The following items were not posted: emergency medical numbers, the local licensing address and phone number, the provider's name and phone number, the emergency evacuation diagram and plan.”
“Primary caregiver lacks annual training in required topics related to emergency preparedness, health and safety.”
“Several chemicals such as windex, bleach and other cleaning supplies were stored under the kitchen sink. This cabinet does not contain a child lock to ensure these materials are not accessible to children. The cabinet in the bathroom used by children also contained materials labeled keep out of reach of children with no child lock preventing access to children. This was corrected at inspection when the hazardous materials were moved to a safer location, out of reach of children.”
“The living room, kitchen, study and child care room did not have smoke alarms installed. The children use these rooms throughout the day.”
“Caregiver is lacking 10 hours of the required 30 annual hours.Missing hours include the six topics in health and safety, SIDS/SBS, and Maltreatment.”
“Caregiver's CPR is expired.”
