Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“Three children's files reviewed did not have updated immunzation records.”
“At the time of the inspection, an infant was asleep in the pack and play with a rag and wipes in the bed.”
“The operational policy/parent handbook was missing the polices for Infant Safe Sleep and the polices for Active Play.”
“At the time of the inspection, an infant was sleeping in a bouncer.”
“The provider did not have proof of completion of annual training in handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials.”
“The home did not have any lock-down drills documented.”
“The provider did not have the total 30 hours of required annual training.”
“The provider has a swing set and the use zone to the front and rear of a to-fro swing was not large enough. The provider took off the to-fro swings and replaced them with bucket swings, as there is enough space in the use zones for bucket swings.”
“The parent handbook did not have a section about the promotion of physical activity.”
“One child file was missing a health statement.”
