Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“1 out of 10 caregivers did not have current CPR/First Aid.”
“4 out of 10 employees did not have the required training topics.”
“The operation had medication at the operation past its expiration date.”
“3 out of 3 children did not have infant feeding instructions.”
“4 out of 5 children with food allergies did not have a complete food allergy action plan.”
“Medication for a child was not in the original container.”
“4 out of 10 employee records reviewed did not have the required training topics.”
“This standard was evaluated in regard to an investigation and a violation was found. A child's elbow was dislocated when a teacher used inappropriate discipline.”
“The operation did not have a carbon monoxide detector in the building today.”
“The operational policy book did not include the duration of outside time.”
“Three children's FARE forms did not have the physician signature.”
“The operational policy book did not include how the operation supports children with special needs.”
“At the time of inspection one child with a documented food allergy did not have the food allergy information or emergency plan posted in the classroom. This was corrected at inspecion by the operation posting the child's food allergy information and emergency plan in the classroom, gym, and kitchen.”
