Violations
Text reproduced verbatim · Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Child Care RegulationNearly every licensed provider accumulates some. A missing signature and an unlocked medicine cabinet are both “violations”, and they are not the same thing. Look at the class, the pattern over time and how quickly it was corrected — not the count alone.
Class is our grouping of the state’s own weights, reviewed per state. The agency’s own label is always shown beside it.
“During the inspection the operation was not maintaining the child/ caregiver ratio.”
“While doing an insepction, the home had 8 children ranging from 7 months-10 years and was over ratio. This was corrected when the caregiver sent 2 children home.”
“While reviewing personnel files, 3 caregivers did not have a notarized affidavit.”
“During inspection, a child does not have the permission box checked that allows the child to walk to and from home for care.”
“During the investigation it was found that children are allowed to walk off the premises without supervision and down the street to another property and return to care.”
“Leaves and debris need to be removed. Chemical sprayer needs to be removed. Metal pole needs to be removed or made safe by using furniture to cover it or put a pool noodle type object over it to keep it from injuring a child if they should fall.”
“A smoke detector needs to be installed in the kitchen and in the main classroom.”
“Children have access to the ktichen where drawers with sharp object are kept. Either put safety locks on drawers and cabinets or install a sate system to keep children from getting into the kitchen.”
“Operation Policies were not available for review.”
“A thermometer was not included in the first aid kit.”
